The Impact of Justice Court

Henderson Justice Court handles the early stages of felony cases, including bail decisions and preliminary hearings to determine whether there is enough evidence to proceed to trial in District Court. A Henderson Justice of the Peace also reviews requests for search warrants. One of the most important responsibilities is hearing arguments and making bail decisions in serious cases, including murder, sexual abuse, DUI cases involving death or substantial bodily harm, and other felony offenses.

A judge should have experience handling these important issues. Felony cases in Henderson Justice Court are typically prosecuted by deputy district attorneys. Henderson assistant city attorneys prosecute misdemeanor cases in Municipal Court. Experience handling serious felony cases provides valuable preparation for the decisions a Justice of the Peace must make.

A Life of Service

I’m running for Henderson Justice Court Department 4 because our community deserves a judge committed to public safety, who leads with integrity, applies the law fairly, and treats every person with respect.

Growing up in Southern Nevada, serving my country as a Marine, and dedicating my career to protecting Southern Nevada children and families have prepared me to serve with discipline, impartiality, and a strong sense of duty.

As a Special Victims Unit prosecutor, I’ve handled some of our community’s most difficult and emotionally demanding cases, holding offenders accountable while standing up for vulnerable victims. Every step of my journey has reinforced the same belief: justice must be firm, fair, and guided by principle.

That’s the kind of judge I will be.
